Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Wolf PDF handles personal information and document data when you use the website, PDF tools, signing features, billing, and AI-assisted document features.

Information we collect

We collect account information such as your email address, authentication identifiers, plan status, usage limits, and subscription state. If you use paid features, payment details are handled by Stripe and we store billing identifiers, invoice references, and subscription status.

When you use a document tool, we process the files you upload, selected tool settings, generated outputs, operational logs, and usage counters needed to run the service, enforce limits, diagnose failures, and prevent abuse.

How we use information

We use information to provide PDF tools, manage accounts, enforce quotas and paywalls, process subscriptions, send signing emails, deliver AI-assisted answers, maintain security, improve service reliability, and respond to support requests.

Uploaded files and generated documents

Uploaded files are processed for the action you request. We do not use your uploaded files to train AI models. For standard PDF tools, uploaded files and generated outputs are intended to be short-lived and are deleted after processing or cleared by automatic cleanup, normally within 30 minutes.

Some account features work differently. Signing features may retain original documents, signed documents, recipient status, and audit records so the signing workflow, downloads, verification, and evidence records can function. Ask PDF may process document text, prompts, and context for the active session so it can answer your questions.

Do not upload files unless you have the right to process them and share them with the service providers needed to complete the requested workflow.

AI-assisted features

Ask PDF and related AI features may send document text, prompts, and context needed to answer your question to configured AI providers. We store usage events, token or credit counts, and operational metadata so credits, quotas, and reliability can be managed.

Service providers

We use third-party providers for hosting, authentication, database storage, payments, email delivery, document processing, and AI features. These providers process information only as needed to deliver the service, keep it secure, and meet legal or operational requirements.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies or browser storage for authentication, security, and account sessions. If analytics are enabled, we will use them to understand traffic sources, popular tools, conversion funnels, reliability issues, and product usage. We aim to avoid sending document contents or payment details to analytics tools.

Retention

Account, billing, subscription, security, and usage records are kept for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain business records. Temporary processing files for standard tools are short-lived. Feature-specific records, such as signing documents and signing audit history, may be retained for longer according to feature retention settings and legal or operational needs.

Your choices

You can choose not to create an account for tools that support anonymous use. Account holders can manage billing through the account area. You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to legal, security, and billing retention requirements.
